CULTURAL HERITAGE CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION
SERVICES
From fine art to archival materials and family heirlooms, the preservation of culture is at the center of our work. We strive to be inclusive and open in our decision-making and environmentally sustainable in our actions. Our studio practice is located in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood, however, we are also available for remote and on-site work.

Traditional and contemporary works of art on paper
-
Documents on paper and parchment (bound or unbound)
-
Maps, architectural and technical drawings
-
Photographic materials
-
Modern materials (i.e. plastics) found in art, design or technical objects
A detailed proposal is submitted for approval prior to treatment, and all interventions are meticulously documented.
PRESERVATION MATTING + FRAMING
TO PROTECT AND ENHANCE THE APPEARANCE OF OBJECTS
Using museum-quality materials and mounting techniques we can:
-
Hinge and mat two-dimensional objects.
-
Prepare sealed frame packages.
-
Retrofit historic and artist frames by adding UV filtering glazing, headspace, backing boards, sealing off-gassing components and upgrading the hardware.
-
Custom frame art, documents and objects after treatment. We have a curated selection of modern, commercially fabricated mouldings from manufacturers who share our concerns regarding environmental sustainability.
For custom milled frames or projects necessitating materials and skills unavailble, we will gladly recommend skilled framers in the city.
